What the customer needed
Water was running over the top of the old 5-inch gutters and reaching the wood deck. It was also getting into the back corridor and doorway and working its way under the foundation.
What shaped the plan
A single-story brick home with a shingle roof at roughly a 6-on-12 pitch, a wood deck across the back, exposed ground close to the foundation, and mature trees throughout the neighborhood.
The system and the reasoning
Mac recommended buckskin brown 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters with matching 3-by-4 downspouts placed at each end of the run. He recommended guards because of the surrounding trees, and the homeowner chose black aluminum Smart Flow.
What dcGutterPRO completed
dcGutterPRO formed and installed buckskin brown 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters along the back roof edges, added matching 3-by-4 aluminum downspouts at each end of the run, and fitted black aluminum Smart Flow guards.
How the finished system came together
The buckskin brown gutters read as a clean edge against the matching fascia and brick. Both downspouts take a direct path to ground level and discharge away from the foundation and clear of the wood deck.
