What the customer needed
The homeowner wanted roof runoff collected around the full house, with water kept away from the foundation and from the back patio where people use the outdoor space.
What shaped the plan
The single-story home has gray brick, light siding at the covered patio, and a shingle roof with an approximately 4-on-12 pitch. Long roof edges discharge toward the front landscaping, side yards, and broad concrete patio during heavy rain.
The system and the reasoning
Mac recommended light gray 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters with matching 3-by-4 downspouts spaced at roughly 30-foot intervals. The color was selected to blend with the fascia, siding, and gray brick rather than create a dark outline around the roof.
