What the customer needed
The homeowner wanted to keep roof runoff from collecting at the well-house entrance, where it created a wet walk to the door, while also directing water away from the small building's foundation.
What shaped the plan
The detached well house has a front entry beneath a compact roof edge. During heavy local rain, water fell near the doorway and foundation.
The system and the reasoning
Mac recommended a 5-inch seamless aluminum gutter with one 3-by-4 downspout offset to the side of the door, creating a simple route for roof water away from the entrance and building.

dcGutterPRO installed a white 5-inch seamless aluminum gutter and one white 3-by-4 downspout on the detached well house. The downspout was positioned beside, rather than directly at, the doorway.
How the finished system came together
The finished layout places the white gutter along the roof edge and positions the downspout beside the doorway rather than directly in front of the entrance.
