What the customer needed
The homeowner wanted roof runoff carried toward the sides of the new home rather than spilling near the foundation, front yard, backyard, or the area planned for a garden.
What shaped the plan
This was a new two-story brick home with an asphalt-shingle roof. Because the yard and garden were still being planned, the downspout locations needed to work with the future outdoor spaces as well as the foundation.
The system and the reasoning
Mac recommended a full wraparound system of brown 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters with brown 3-by-4 downspouts placed toward the sides of the home. He also recommended leaf guards, but the homeowner chose to proceed without them.

dcGutterPRO formed and installed brown 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters around the home and added brown 3-by-4 downspouts, positioning the outlets toward the sides of the building. Gutter guards were not included.
How the finished system came together
The completed brown gutter system follows the home's upper and lower rooflines, while the 3-by-4 downspouts are grouped along the side elevations. That placement keeps the main front and backyard areas clear while matching the homeowner's requested route for roof water around the foundation and planned garden.
