Galvalume Box Gutter and Cistern Downspout on a Conroe Pavilion

A rusted gutter on this Conroe park pavilion was replaced with a Galvalume 6-inch seamless steel box gutter and one smooth 4-by-5 steel downspout routed into the existing rainwater cistern.

Open-sided Conroe park pavilion with a Galvalume box gutter and metal rainwater cistern beside the roofline
The goal

What the customer needed

The pavilion needed a dependable replacement for its rusted-out gutter while preserving the site's existing plan to collect runoff from the large metal roof in a cistern.

At the property

What shaped the plan

The open-sided park pavilion has a low-slope metal roof with an approximately 2-on-12 pitch. A metal cistern sits at the back of the structure, where the new downspout needed to deliver the collected roof water.

Mac's recommendation

The system and the reasoning

Mac recommended a Galvalume 6-inch seamless steel box gutter to match the pavilion's architectural style and a larger smooth 4-by-5 steel downspout for the concentrated runoff from the metal roof.

The work

What dcGutterPRO completed

dcGutterPRO removed the rusted existing gutter, formed and installed a Galvalume 6-inch seamless steel box gutter, and added one smooth 4-by-5 steel downspout that terminates at the opening of the existing cistern.

The result

How the finished system came together

The finished Galvalume box gutter follows the long metal roof edge and suits the pavilion's steel construction. Its smooth 4-by-5 downspout bridges the roofline and cistern cleanly, restoring the site's dedicated rainwater-collection route.
