What the customer needed
The homeowner wanted to protect the foundation and move roof runoff away from both the front porch and the covered backyard patio.
What shaped the plan
The single-story home has prominent gables, gray siding, a stone front section, and a steep shingle roof recorded at approximately 6-on-12. The property also includes a garage and a covered outdoor area with additional roof edges.
The system and the reasoning
Mac recommended 6-inch seamless gutters with 3-by-4 downspouts placed at intervals of about 30 feet. Gutter guards were not recommended because there were no trees immediately surrounding the home.
