What the customer needed
The homeowner wanted to stop roof runoff from splashing dirt onto the brick and move collected water away from the foundation edge and covered front porch.
What shaped the plan
The single-story brick home has a shingle roof with an approximately 4-on-12 pitch, a long covered porch, exposed ground near portions of the foundation, and mature trees around the lot.
The system and the reasoning
Mac recommended black 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters with matching 3-by-4 downspouts placed at roughly 30-foot intervals. He also recommended leaf guards because of the surrounding trees, but the homeowner chose not to include them in this project.
What dcGutterPRO completed
dcGutterPRO installed black 6-inch seamless aluminum gutters along the home's roof edges and added matching black 3-by-4 downspouts at the exterior corners, including the covered-porch run.
How the finished system came together
The black gutters create a clean edge against the light fascia and brick, while the corner downspouts give each photographed roof run a direct path to ground level. Along the porch, the downspouts are positioned outside the primary seating and garden areas.
